YUBI is a new generation parental control application developed for today's kids and challenges. Unlike other classical parental control apps that provide mainly adult content filtering; YUBI allows you to manage the Youtube content and channels that your child can watch to.
Yubi offers followings as well;
- Safe YouTube watch lists selected by child specialists according to age groups
- Set Allowed Search Keywords on YouTube
- Manage Internet Time & Set Mandatory Breaks
- Adblocking on all Websites and Mobile Apps
- Disabling Access to Adult Content
- Disabling Access to Gambling Content
- Disabling Access to Online Games
- Disabling Access to Dating and Social Media Websites/Apps
- Disable File Transfers in Chat Applications
- Enable Safe Search across all Search Engies
- Instant stop of your child’s video watch activity remotely
- Block Internet on your child’s device remotely
We call Yubi as new generation because once it’s set up; Yubi does not display a warning message when the child attempts to access the restricted content, app or website. Instead; it stops the clicked app or site like YouTube, Netflix, Tiktok etc from loading content on the Internet so it all appears like the app or website has an internal connectivity problem.
This working principle of “disabling other apps by stopping their content load without giving a “blocked” error message; does not give the feeling of “being restricted” to children. Additionally Yubi is a completely kids friendly parental control app as it's child interface is designed with the same look & feel of a video app.
Since all video watching platforms will not be loading content after installing Yubi; your child won’t be able to access YouTube directly. However your child will still be able to watch YouTube channels and videos on Yubi’s Kids Mode. Yubi talks to YouTube at the backend via a special technical integration and therefore all channels & videos can be watch as usual without doing anything extra apart from choosing which channels & videos you prefere for your child. This will create a much more safe video environment for your child and plus, when watched on Yubi, all advertisement will be removed so you’ll have an completely “Ad-Free” YouTube experience.
The kids friendly channels in YT Kids are a combination of machine learning, algorithms and community flagging content as “not appropriate” which leads to learn from mistakes. However in Yubi, the country specific YouTube channels are carefully selected by our local child specialists according to child age groups. Plus, all lists are reviewed by real mums as well to give you extra piece of mind.
With YTKids, you can either enable or disable search completely; however with Yubi you can define allowed search keywords so you can completely give a secure video experience to your child.
Here is a quick list showing what’s in Yubi that does not available in YTKids:
- Country & Age Based Safe Watchlists selected manually by child specialists
- Set “Allowed Search Keywords"
- Instant Stop of Video Activity
- Accurate time limit checks
- Disable video watching on YouTube and other platforms
- Remote Management of set Channels & Videos & Search Keywords
- Manage Your Child's YouTube Experience Completely
While designing Yubi, our focus was to minimise the side affects of technology & digital media consumption. Unlike other video watching platforms; Yubi does not bombard your child with lots of “related videos” which causes the children to jump from one to another which eventually end up with concentration & focus problems in later education years. With Yubi, your child will watch the pre-selected videos only by clicking on as they don’t automatically start or be recommended.
